爷爷奶奶 and 朋友的一天 occurs in May of every year and parent volunteers are essential to the success of the day. Specific volunteer roles include greeting and guiding guests upon arrival at our campus and helping to serve a catered buffet breakfast to more than 300 grandparents and friends in the gym.

Waynflete relies on parent volunteers to assist with various mailings 全年. Stuffing envelopes for a few hours is a quick and easy way to make a difference in the life of the school while also getting to know other parents.

There are many different ways for parents to volunteer in 较低的学校. Opportunities to volunteer within classrooms do vary by program and the developmental needs of students. Classroom volunteering includes regular options such as escorting student groups back and forth to the library or supporting students with classroom tasks and work plans, 协助举办特别活动, 陪同学生实地考察, 并与学生分享相关的家长经验.
The best way to learn how one can volunteer within classrooms is to contact your child’s teacher, and to let class parents for that program know that you’re interested in volunteering. Parent-organized events such as class picnics and parent coffees are another great way to volunteer.
